Your team, backed by ours.
Co-managed IT services for Australian businesses that already have an internal IT team.
We extend your internal IT team with the depth, the cover and the specialist skills they cannot always carry alone. Your people keep the relationships, the context and the day-to-day. We take the escalations, the projects and the two o’clock in the morning calls.
Who does what
The responsibility split.
A RACI-style view of who owns what. This shows the shape: the exact split is agreed per client.
| Responsibility | Your internal team | AWD |
|---|---|---|
| Day-to-day helpdesk | Included | Not included |
| Escalations & specialist work | Not included | Included |
| Strategy & vCIO | Not included | Included |
| After-hours & leave cover | Not included | Included |
| Tooling & monitoring | Included | Included |
The exact split is agreed per client and written into your service schedule.
What is co-managed IT?
A model where your internal IT team and an external provider run IT together, with a written split of who owns what. You keep your people. You add capability you cannot justify hiring for.
How is it different from managed IT?
Fully managed means we own the whole environment. Co-managed means you keep the day-to-day and we cover escalation, specialist work, projects and after-hours.
Will you take over from our IT manager?
No. That is the point of the model, and we put the boundary in writing before we start.
When does co-managed make sense?
Ticket overflow, a project your team cannot resource, after-hours and leave cover, or a compliance requirement that needs specialist skills.
When it fits
Built for these situations.
Co-managed earns its keep when your team is good, but stretched.
Where we stand
We augment your internal IT team. We do not replace it.
Your people keep the relationships and the context. We add the escalation depth, specialist skills and cover they cannot always carry alone.
How it works
From assessment to co-delivery.
A structured start that ends in a steady rhythm of shared delivery, not a takeover.
Assess
We map your environment, your team and where the pressure points really are.
Agree the split
We define who owns what in writing, so nothing falls between the two teams.
Integrate tooling
Shared monitoring, ticketing and documentation, one view across both teams.
Co-deliver
Your people and ours run IT together, with escalation paths that just work.
Proof
Internal team + AWD
One anonymised example of an internal team and AWD running IT side by side.
A growing firm kept its IT manager and added AWD for depth, not a handover.
“It feels like our team just got bigger. Escalations land with people who already know our environment.”
Anonymised • sector label only.
